My Favorite Immune Boosting Oils

As we really start heading into cold and flu season I thought I would list out some great essential oils for supporting our immune systems and also how to use them. This most certainly will not be an extensive list, I am just going to be listing some of my favorites (as well as linking some immune supporting blends that you can buy if you prefer that method) and going over my favorite ways to utilize the wonderful oils.

Immune blends

  • Immune boom by Plant Therapy (this is the one I use)

  • Immunity boost and Protect by Revive (a good company with quality oils)

  • Immunity and Fighting Five by Edens Garden (I haven’t used them but I looked over their site and they seem on par with Plant Therapy and Revive)

Ways to use essential oils to support immunity

  • Diffuse: diffuse immune supporting oils on the onset of a cold or flu to help aide that immune system. The early the better. I like to pair this with an echinacea tincture to really get my immune system up and fighting.

  • Make a roller blend: Whip up a roller blend and apply along the spine daily for an immune support, or apply along the lymph nodes (for adults). Use topically for sore throats or inflammation as well.

  • Add to soap: add immune support (or germ fighting) essential oils to a DIY hand soap (or existing hand soap) to give it a little extra kick.

  • Don’t ingest: many oils on this list would cause issues with ingestion and many blends contain oils unsafe for ingestion entirely. If you feel the need to ingest some immune supporting power than stick to foods and supplements marketed as such.

I love these oils for a great immune support, and I love to pair these with my existing herbal remedies routine. I will use immune supporting oils alongside taking my elderberry and fire cider. I use them when I am beginning to feel down alongside my herbal supplements. They are great for helping to support the immune system, tackle illnesses and keep us in tip top fighting shape.
