Aura Cacia kid safe line overview

Many of you might know my love/hate relationship with Aura Cacia, many of you might not. I personally do not use this brand anymore because what was most available to me and most convenient to buy was the essential oils in store. Since they do not come with safety seals, any kind of sealing, and are easily opened without any notice of tampering this was just too risky for me. So while I do trust that these oils are pure and they are working on getting out reports I would encourage anyone wanting to use them to purchase them online and not in store because of the risk of tampering or adulteration post shipping.

I did however notice they have a kid line and thought I would go over this line and see how safe it is as I know many people who do use this brand.

  • Bedtime: Citrus sinensis (sweet orange) oil, Lavandula intermedia (lavandin) oil, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, Citrus nobilis (Mandarin) oil, Boswellia carterii (frankincense) oil, Tanacetum annuum (blue tansy) oil

I do like what I am seeing so far, all kid safe oils. They do recommend this blend for ages 4-11 but it is safe for all ages. They also recommend not diffusing under 6 months which I really like as well. So the oil is safe and the guidelines with it are good as well, not leaving any room for confusion.

  • Uplifting: Citrus limon (lemon) oil, Citrus sinensis (sweet orange) oil, Citrus bergamia (bergamot) oil, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, Cedrus atlantica (atlas cedarwood) oil, Vetiveria zizanioides (vetiver) oil, Mentha spicata (spearmint) oil

Also another good one, a lot of nice uplifting oils. Safe for all ages but marketed as 4-11, which honestly I don’t hate because I would rather have a company be overly cautious than not care at all. But these oils are safe for all ages.

  • Clearing: Abies balsamea (balsam Canada) oil, Pinus sylvestris (pine) oil, Citrus sinensis (sweet orange) oil, Citrus limon (lemon) oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) oil, Cedrus atlantica (atlas cedarwood) oil, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, Leptospermum scoparium (manuka) oil

Another oil that is safe for all ages, although this one is a bit interesting to me. I don’t see many blends using Manuka. It’s safe for all ages, so I appreciate them using an oil that isn’t super common but is also still safe. So far I am loving this line. Same safeties on this oil as well, although it is safe for all ages.

  • Focus: Citrus sinensis (sweet orange) oil, Citrus limon (lemon) oil, Lavandula intermedia (lavandin) oil, Citrus aurantifolia (lime) oil, Vetiveria zizanioides (vetiver) oil

Honestly I am running out of things to say. This oil is great as well. All kid safe oils, the safety checks out. I see nothing wrong with this line. Safe for all ages, safety guidelines apply to babies.

So honest opinion this line is great. If you use the kid blends, awesome. I did not review the roll ons, they are pretty much the same. I would check dilutions on that just to be safe but since it’s targeted 4+ a 1-3% dilution would be acceptable for roll ons. I’m pleased to see that Aura Cacia is taking kid safety seriously, at least with the kid oil line. Let me know if you want to start seeing reviews on essential oil companies and their other kid products as well. I keep seeing bath products, lotions and even supplements pop up when I am looking at these kid lines and I’m curious as to how safe those really are.
